On May 2nd, Stacy noticed some bees in the back yard.  Later when I went back, there were thousands of  them.  They were going down into a hole in our watering system valve box.

for the next several days, they came and went as they wished.  We kept clear of them.

Then, on the 16th, I noticed a bee swarm in the lemon tree, just outside of the valve box.

    • This is a solid mass of bees!

We called a bee remover, who said that they weren't hurting anything and we should leave them to do what they wanted.  He did open the valve box and asked if we wanted the honey.

    • The inside of the valve box.
    • Stacy looking into the box - note the bees still in the tree!

Once the bees had decamped, I grabbed all of the honey comb and jarred it.
