    • David at the fourth belay

There is an easy walk from the top of pitch 4 (see David above) and the start of pitch 5 (see Ryan below).

The sun was beginning to set and the colors were lovely, but the sun was setting!

        • The rest of the Rockfellow Group from the fourth belay

We got to the top only to discover than we did not have the decent description with us.  I remembered something about an east facing tree with a repel station at it.  I wandered east on top of the dome until I found the tree and the repel station.

              • There was a raptor on that 'tree'
              • Daivd at the first repel
              • Ryan on the first repel
              • The view from the first repel (as the sun sets!)
              • There is david at the bottom of the second repel
              • Looking up from the base of the second repel
              • Looking down from the base of the second repel

The first repel ends at a nice ledge with another repel station.  The second repel gets wild!  You repel down into this wide crack (see above) and lower yourself down this steep ramp into a cave.  At the end of this repel, you have the option of climbing down towards the light (don't do this!) or climbing up and out toward the light.  After crawling under a chock-stone, there is another repel station that gets you to the ground.  Three double rope repels.

              • Ryan on the third/last repel
                  • Back at the base of the climb

We made it to the bottom with sun light, but most of the hike out was in the dark.  We both had lamps, so there were no problems.  It was a  beautiful  night with GREAT stars.

It was a great day which ended with pizza and beer.
