Crystal Spring Trail hike
31 August, 2013
Stacy and I had done this hike on June 8, 2013 and we wanted to come back when there was water.
The weather looked questionable from the start
We went about 2.5 miles down the trail (until the Poison Ivy took over the path)
This large bug was on the trail
There was a little water in the first waterfall (much more than when we had been here in June)
Butterfly posing on a flower
Not all of those clouds look friendly
A very small Horned Lizard
This is all that is left of a burned out tree
Stacy at the second (largest) waterfall on the hike
Stacy sitting at the edge of the waterfall
Looking upstream from the waterfall
The view from the waterfall
David (not at the edge)
The view down the valley from the top of the waterfall
This storm did not get us
Looking back at the waterfall
A much larger Horned Lizard
This storm did get us, but not until we were in the car!
Here is where we parked the car (left) with a storm coming at us (above the car) and the Sheriff (right) looking for a lost hiker.
