• The east end of the mine
    • Some copper
    • The leach-pool at the bottom of the pit
    • The view across the road from the mine

We decided to go to Bisbee for the day.  Stacy had never been and it had been a while since I had been there.  Bisbee is an old copper mining town.  We started our trip at the mine.

      • The view from ‘OK Alley’ across ‘Brewery Ave’ to ‘Opera Dr’. Got to love those names!
      • Some houses have LONG stairs
      • Stacy walking from OK Alley to Brewery Ave
      • More LONG stairs

Then we went for a walk around the town.  Most of the town in built on the sides of hills.  There are lots of stairs to get from road to road.

Each year there is a 'Bisbee Stair Climb' during which, you guessed it, people run around the town, up and down the stairs!

This was a beautiful place we walked past.  I could not get a picture of the house due to the trees and bushes.

            • On the side of a building
              • Someone’s driveway
              • The ‘front door’ to a house

One nice thing about walking around the town is that you never know what you are going to find.  There are a few things we walked past.

              • Looking over town to the mine
              • a 'street sign'
              • Do you see the street sign?
              • The gas pipes...
              • run right over the walkways.

You can find some odd things in the hills

              • Stacy on the stairs

We then walked back down the hill (see Stacy for scale) and walked to the Copper Queen which is a fine place to eat and drink.

                    • The view from 'High Rd' looking down into town

On our way driving out of town we went up into the hills (farther than we wanted to walk) to get this view of town and stumbled across this old car.
